  • DESCRIPTION: The Syrena Polish Folk Dance Ensemble was founded in 1975 in Milwaukee, WI, by a devoted group of young adults. They set as their goal the promotion of Polish folk culture in its purest form, striving for authenticity in presentation of dances, songs, traditions and costumes of Poland. Since 1979, the Ensemble has been under the direction of Ada Dziewanowska, a noted Polish folklore authority and dance choreographer. Their web page contains links to Polish Folkdance around the world, Falkdance midi files, Descriptions and History of Syrena's Polish Folk Dance Repetoire and of course information about their organization.
